Skiathos is without doubt the beach capital of the Sporades Islands, and you might need more than a week or two to visit all sixty-eight of them. However, Villa Aphroditi would make an excellent base. Beaches are nothing without the sea and you couldn’t get much closer than this lovely villa right on the water’s edge, looking out across to Skiathos Town itself. Steps lead down straight from the house to a jetty and a small beach. Comfortable, spacious and perfect for families, all the attractions of this varied small island are within easy reach.
On Skiathos, small is certainly beautiful – and varied. Quite apart from its magnificent beaches, the interior of the island offers a wealth of walks, from gentle evening strolls to a quiet taverna, to longer expeditions exploring the fascinating and largely undeveloped countryside. Exploration on (and under) the water is easily accomplished. Regular ferries connect Skiathos with the other main islands of the Sporades – Skopelos and Alonissos – both different in character. Boat hire, snorkelling, and for those with more energy, waterskiing and windsurfing are also readily available.
Finding the right holiday destination to suit all the family can be difficult. Skiathos provides all the answers, and Villa Aphroditi is the perfect house to experience them.
