“Nisos” was born in my beloved Skiathos — a favorite destination since my childhood, as my mother was from Volos and my father from Larisa, so our visits to the island were frequent. I’m very happy and absolutely satisfied with this decision.

An artistic soul from a young age, I studied education, alternative jewelry design, and eventually silversmithing. In 2015, my wife Despina and I decided to make our dream come true — to present our creations to the public with the goal of offering all visitors Greek-made products of excellent quality, crafted with passion and love. We want to share our passion for Greece, for the ancient Greek sandal, and for Greek jewelry.

All our creations are handmade with great care and love. The materials we use, especially the leathers for the sandals, are entirely Greek. The designs are Greek, and their decoration is modern, in line with fashion trends.

For both our jewelry and sandals, we use semi-precious stones, our beloved pearls, real high-quality pearls, flawless corals, volcanic stones (lava), tiger’s eye, agate, clay, crystals, and many other stones in various colors, shapes, and sizes — all of excellent quality. The metals we use are silver, brass, and alpaca (nickel silver). The final touch is completed using fabrics, leathers, cords, wood, recycled plastic, and various other imaginative materials.

We also host handmade creations by other Greek artists, such as exquisite handmade hats, handmade ceramics, silk pashminas from Soufli, and trendy handmade clothing with creative and distinctive construction.

We choose to work exclusively with Greek artists — not only because we have excellent craftsmen, but also because we want to support the local economy.

The love for handmade products is strong. People are interested in who made each piece, where, and how it was created. Handmade stands out over mass-produced and imported items. It is unique and special.

Through our creations, we showcase the essence of Greece to the world — and Skiathos is the perfect ambassador and our constant source of inspiration.
