The beach is located 12klm north of the town of Skiathos. It is one of the island’s largest beaches with thick sand and small pebbles. The whole bay is surrounded by a famous mountain, on top of which the ‘Eikonistria’ monastery is located. Moreover, an endless, green, natural environment adds to the beauty of this ideal landscape, surrounding the beach and covering a vast area that almost reaches the shore. At Aselinos beach, you can find a traditional tavern plus, of course, sunbeds. Nevertheless, it is important to mention that visitors should choose to visit this beach on summer days with minimum wind forecast, since the area is already prone to strong, north winds taking place every now and then. The access to the beach is very easy, either by taking the bus (bus stop number 18), or by car: you take a right when you get at ‘Troulos’ intersection and on a 2km road you will see signs of the Aselinos beach on your left.
