Zoodochos Pigis

Zoodochos Pigis is celebrated on the very first Friday after Easter (Bright Week).

The chapel is located at Skiathos’ square, a few meters away from Evangelistria Monastery. Additionally, in between the old and the new Zoodochos Pigis’ churches, there is a place the locals call ‘Evaggelistria’s threshing floor’, where they host one of their most grand annual festivals, celebrating the church. What’s more, what makes the feast even more spectacular, is its one-of-a-kind, panoramic view, since the area where the festival is held is one of the island’s highest spots!
