Greetings to the users of the most Orthodox gaming site on the Internet.I decided to start my own blog here, I will write all sorts of subjective notes about films, games, maybe books and in general about everything that happens on our crazy planet.I want to dedicate my first note to the film Salt, which is quite kosher in my opinion.
The plot revolves around https://thunderboltcasino.co.uk/bonus/ the currently popular topics of “bad Russians” and “new order”; if you don’t like these two topics, you can safely pass by right away.In a nutshell the plot is this.At the CIA headquarters they are interrogating a certain Russian defector who tells a rather interesting story; it turns out that during the Cold War, a Russian intelligence network of the highest level was formed in the United States. The agents of this network were trained almost from the cradle to penetrate the US government structure and one day strike a blow that would destroy the US and lay the foundation for a new order. The name of one of the spies, Evelyn Salt, is even mentioned, everything would be fine, but it turns out that the same name is given to the CIA agent interrogating the witness.Naturally, our heroine tries to justify herself and call her husband, but she fails and runs away from headquarters. Her ex-colleague begins to hunt her.
I expected that there would be another story about a setup and the search for justice, but I was wrong, there was no talk about oh I was betrayed, oh I did so much for the country and she abandoned me in the film. From the very beginning to the end of the film, it’s not clear what’s on Salt’s mind, is she really a spy?? Jolie decided to play a negative character? Will they really kill a couple of presidents and there will be a nuclear bomb and World War 3?? Unfortunately, at the end of the film only one point is fulfilled, in all other respects a typical happy ending, the president is alive, there will be no nuclear bomb, this was a little upsetting, but still there was a feeling of some kind of novelty and intrigue in the film, you can’t argue with that. The sense of action was fueled by a very cool soundtrack from Howard, who is about to compete with Zimmer.
Before the film was released, reviews immediately went on air in which the authors were accused of “cranberries”, Russophobia, and an untruthful portrayal of Russia and the USSR.On the last point, I won’t say anything because I live in Ukraine, I don’t remember the USSR, thank God, but it’s difficult to call Russia a democratic country.Regarding the beloved “cranberry”, it is the basis of all spy films. These films are created to amuse people with various stories about secret services, powerful terrorist groups, secret plans, all this gives a person the opportunity to break away from boring and monotonous everyday life.Naturally, there will be no realism in it because real spies will not share their secrets, and if someone tried to make a serious spy film they would at least not be understood. It’s the same as making a film about the everyday life of police officers without fights or shootouts, because in real life a police officer is involved in at most two or three shootouts, and who would like a film dedicated to issuing fines or investigating “wood grouse”, but this is the everyday life of cops.
Regarding Russophobia, many say that the USA is a country of stereotypes, that Russia has not been like this for a long time. But don’t stereotypes also live in Russia, so stop any person on the street and tell him he’s an American, they will describe to you a fat, stupid person eating hamburgers and laughing at another wretched sitcom, but few people know that most of the Nobel Prize laureates live in the USA, and the same goes for Olympic champions. And I know at least 5 Russians who quite seriously declare that the USA is going to take over the world. But what made me laugh the most was one girl on Kinopoisk who said that Russians don’t drink vodka after completing a successful business, I wonder where she found such people?
Now I would like to talk about acting.I would be lying if I said that I didn’t go to the film for the sake of tits Angelina Jolie’s lips.In general, I respect her very much as an actress and as a person, if most other Hollywood actresses openly suffer from nonsense, spending money on parties, trinkets and clothes, Jolie helps people not only in words but also in deeds, and for this I respect her very much. Many slandered, saying that Angie is no longer a cake, it’s time for her to retire, she was by no means sexy enough in the film. She managed to recreate the image of a very cool, unbending agent who, however, is not alien to tender emotions. She coped with the role perfectly and created good competition for Bourne, Bond and Hunt (by the way, they wanted to invite Cruise to the main role, it’s good that they didn’t invite him, otherwise it would have turned out to be mission impossible 3.5)
But at the same time, the bright Jolie outshines other actors.Apart from her, the only thing I remember is the slightly idiotic President of the United States. If in other films presidents are shown as stern, noble men, here the president turned out to be more of a comical character.
The direction and effects are quite up to par, it’s clear that 100 million was spent not only on Jolie’s fee
Bottom line
Quite a good spy action movie, recommended for viewing with friends and beer.So far the best thing they’ve shown in cinema since Inception
Rating 8/10
