Throughout the country, all Prophet Elias’ churches are, usually, located either on a hill or a mountain. The same applies for Saint Elias’ church in Skiathos, which was built in 1906. This picturesque church is surrounded by lush, plane trees and is very famous for its fresh, natural, pouring-water!
Following the road towards the Castle, from the Evangelistria Monastery, you will find the chapel on your right. The chapel’s annual celebration takes place on the 20th of July (following the traditional wake that the locals have the previous night).
