Vasilias
At bus stops no. 7 and 8, located on the south coast of Skiathos island, 4 km southwest of the town, is the picturesque, sandy beach, protected from strong north winds, called Vasilias Beach. Its name stems from the Byzantine era, during which the emperors chose this location as their last resting place. Whereas its sister beach, Small Vasilias Beach, is free and not organized, a few steps further you will find Vasilias Beach offers sunbeds and umbrellas, a lovely restaurant and water sports.
