Old Port

As you leave Bourtzi and turn left, you will find yourself in the Old Port, which is one of the most beautiful and picturesque spots in Skiathos. Today, traditional fishing and tourist boats, water taxis and luxurious yachts dock here. The Old Port is lined with a range of shops, and colorful cafés and tavernas to enjoy coffee, wine and mezes during the day. In the evening, when the sun goes down and the lights come up, the mood is set for a romantic stroll along the waterfront. It is the popular gathering spot to begin the evening’s entertainment. As you keep walking along the water’s edge, you eventually reach Plakes, or turn off to explore the charming back streets of the old town.
