Kalypso Boat

Built in 1980 as a traditional greek style fishing boat, which is called by the locals “gri gri”, Kalypso has been completely restored to be a passenger boat in 2007, maintaining its style and features.

With its 75 feet length and two decks, Kalypso is the perfect boat to enjoy the sun and the sea during your holidays in Skiathos, for daily excursions, transfers, private parties and weddings.

Kalypso is fully equipped with all the comforts and safety: it has bar service with nice music on board, three toilets, three engines for safety reasons, and you can choose to sunbath in the upper deck, or to relax in the shadow on the lower deck, still enjoying the wonderful view.

The Captain Lambros, which is also the owner of the boat, is born in Skiathos and started his experience in early ’80s; Kalypso also provides experienced crew, and a guide during excursions.

Like the nymph of the greek mithology, Kalypso has also a beautiful heart: it’s the only boat on the island that is involved in rescuing other boats in emergency situations for bad weather conditions, and also volunteering in the campaign of collecting the plastic and cleaning the beaches before the summer since twelve years, as well as cooperating with the Municipality of Skiathos for all the needs of the port and of the whole island, without asking any money for these jobs.

DAILY EXCURSIONS:

AROUND THE ISLAND OF SKIATHOS (Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun) Join us as we sail around the island of Skiathos. We will visit the beautiful Lalaria beach where you can swim, whilst enjoying the aquamarine waters. Then we will visit the Old town of Kastro, where you can walk up to explore the ruins, or stay on the beach and relax at the Cantina or take a swim. Then we will sail over to Kati Yorgis – Pelion, on the mainland where you can enjoy a leisurely lunch and a swim from the lovely beach and enjoy the views back to Skiathos.

SKOPELOS – MAMMA MIA (Tue/Thu/Sat)

We will visit the breathtaking locations of the movie “Mamma Mia”, also sailing over to Skopelos. Plenty of time for swimming and if you wish you can go to visit the church at Agios Ioannis. Enjoy a leisurely lunch and perhaps a dance as we return. Have your photo taken with our Captain, which also took part, with his own boat, in the movie.

We offer evening cruises ‘SKIATHOS BY NIGHT’ where we sail the coast and watch the sun set whilst enjoying a refreshing cocktail.
